Q. You turned down academic scholarships at a handful of Ivy League schools to walk-on at Miami, why?

A. I bleed green and orange. I've seen this program go from the bottom to the top.

I've been here for the great days and been here for a couple bad days and I just wanted to be part of this team and the brotherhood and family atmosphere that is here.

Joaquin a Brown!
After a long and drawn out 2002 draft, Joaquin finally knew where he would make his next mark: Cleveland is the city; the Browns are the team. As the 227th overall pick, Joaquin is an absolute steal. This young man may prove to be one of the best value picks in the 2002 NFL Draft. Joaquin was elated to be reunited with former head coach Butch Davis, in addition to personal manager Pete Garcia. He is looking forward to satisfying his dreams of becoming a starting lineman in the NFL and helping his team win the ultimate game, The Super Bowl! Joaquin told us "I came to UM to win a National Championship and we accomplished that. I go to Cleveland with the same goal - to win the Super Bowl! I know if I help the Browns reach the pinnacle of the NFL, I will in turn reach my personal objectives in the NFL." Congratulations Cleveland! This guy is a true class act and a winner!
